The session brings philosophers into genuine conversation with researchers in neuroscience, psychology, music theory, and the social sciences to ask how music engages the brain and body, how it activates emotional and cognitive connections, and how musical behavior works as a form of social bonding.
We welcome contributions across neuroscience and music, cognitive music theory, physiology, movement and the body, social psychology, social and cultural studies, and artistic and creative approaches.
